We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst (d/f/m) to join our Advertising Analytics team in Berlin.
About the team:
You will report to the Head of Advertising Analytics for Kleinanzeigen, working to support the LUA Product Team (Laticed Unified Auction), which is a cross-functional team of tech, business and operations professionals within the Adevinta global Product & Tech organization.
The team is building an advanced, structured auction system for advertising bidding that will handle, optimize and select bids to drive sustainable, incremental revenue growth.
You help them to validate the philosophy that "adding more competition to the auction increases revenue" and work to identify, analyze and monitor metrics that influence and reveal the overall results of those auctions.
As this is a brand new team that is currently being spun up, there's a lot of room to place your own mark on both the role and the future product.
Your main responsibilities include:

Be part of a cross-functional team on one of Adevinta’s central initiatives to improve advertising revenues, efficiency and relevancy to benefit our company, our advertising partners and our users

Collaborate with your team to develop new ideas, evaluate them (mostly with experiments), recommend relevant actions and drive decision-making

Shape the future of our advertising business with your strategic analysis

Provide data, insights and reports that empower the team to make well informed data-driven decisions

Create self-service dashboards, data models, and data sets

Work in a local and global network of experienced analysts to level up our analytics capabilities and scale local projects in global markets

You will have tons of data available to work with in SQL, Python and Tableau.
Your skill profile:
-
2-3+ years of experience in an analytical role
-
Experienced in data retrieval (e.g. SQL, R or Python), statistical analysis and experience with complex data sets

Experience with visualization & dashboard building with a focus on business stakeholders needs (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio)

Basic understanding of the advertising and publisher ecosystem or keen to learn more

Ability to convert complex business questions into concrete requirements, relevant metrics and actionable insights to give clear recommendations

You can judge when a topic requires 100% and when 20% is sufficient and can slice big projects into smaller pieces and make your work and progress transparent.

You can easily connect and collaborate with a diverse set of people across levels and backgrounds.

Proficient in English (German is a big plus)
