In the frame of the growth of our business, we are looking for a:

GL Accountant Germany

Main activities

Accounting:

• Process and maintain accounts receivable records, recording of cash transactions to the account receivable subledger.
• Process inventory transactions (2 importations per month, scrapping and other type of movement)
• Sales force costs reports checking and booking.
• Process of accounts payable, control over invoices payment according to existing procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor payroll is processed in time by an outsourced accounting company, ensure timely payment of payroll.
• Handle of payment transactions through weekly payment runs and manual payments, bank reconciliation, bank statements posting.
• Book credit card statements.

General Ledger Management:

• Reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with German accounting standards (HGB) to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• Support external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

People management:

• Supervision of AP/AR accountant

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, and HQ

Your profile

Minimum level of education and/or professional experience required by the position:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional certification.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on German GAAP (HGB) and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in German accounting standards and tax regulations; familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or anomalies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
• Fluent in English
• Experience with SAP system is a must and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
