RESPONSIBILITIES

As Strategic Sourcing Manager at BTC Europe, you will lead all activities to drive and develop BTC's complimentary product strategy.

• New supplier sourcing: To enforce BTC's industry strategies you will identify potential new suppliers to complement BTC's industry product portfolios.
• You will screen and scout the market globally for new product suppliers for complementary products to BASF portfolio.
• Moreover, you will develop businesses cases in alignment with the respective Industry Managers and will prepare mandate pitch presentations for supplier discussions.
• You will promote BTC as a relevant distribution partner in the chemical industry.
• Last but not least, you will initiate dialogues with potential new suppliers and negotiate new sourcing & distribution contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• successfully completed Chemical and / or Commercial university degree
• several years of sourcing experience in the chemical distribution market and profound experience in the chemical distribution business
• excellent strategic & conceptional thinking
• strong entrepreneurial mindset as well as pronounced influencing and communication skills
• highly collaborative working style in an intercultural environment
• fluent in English (Chinese and/or German beneficial)
• readiness to travel
