Become one of our 34 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meetups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as a Trainee – Sustainable Analyst
The Corporate Sustainability team develops, defines and proposes the overall sustainability direction for the group to become best in class in sustainability performance. This means we act as a support function and center of expertise towards the whole group. We provide insights, guidance on prioritization and direction, and capacity building on sustainability issues.
Topics the team is working on are spread over a large area of responsibility. Human rights, climate targets, Just Transition, and sustainability data and reporting and are just a few out of many topics which fall under the Sustainability team’s scope. As a trainee - Sustainability analyst, you will join the Sustainability team in making this sustainability direction a reality.
Your daily activities consist of:
- Perform research and analysis on topics including best practices in sustainability reporting, valuation of social and environmental impacts, national social and environmental strategies and policies, as well as ad hoc requests
- Identify sustainability gaps and improvement needs, implement related actions
- Support our business units and top management with knowledge and awareness on specific sustainability projects and stakeholder engagement
- Raise sustainability awareness and drive engagement within the organization on relevant sustainability topics
- Boost transparency externally by supporting targeted communications and reporting
- Play an active role in driving the Sustainability team forward in a data-driven future
