Investment Banking has an integrated worldwide set-up offering a comprehensive range of advisory and capital raising services to accompany its clients thanks to strong sector and product knowledge, and proven capabilities in both local and cross-border executions. It is about accompanying clients on all of their investment banking needs from strategic advisory, mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets and structured equity transactions.

Within the Investment Banking Division, the Equity Advisory (Corporate Broking) team is the link between corporates and equity capital markets; it is about advising on any issue that affects companies’ interaction with equity capital markets and investors.

As a V.I.E. in the local Equity Advisory team you will work directly with senior team members in the Equity Advisory team, product (ECM, DCM, M&A) and industry teams as well as relationship managers/ coverage teams on the origination and execution of Investment Banking mandates.

This includes a wide variety of tasks, such as providing management and Investor Relations (IR) officers of our corporate clients (mainly DAX & MDAX companies) with market intelligence and market / sector / stock updates. Moreover, Equity Advisory is providing its clients with advise on all capital market communication issues (equity story, ESG, IR events, investor targeting etc.).

During your V.I.E. mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

• Support the team with the preparation of Equity Advisory and cross-product client pitches / presentations
• Monitor (equity) capital market developments (through Bloomberg / Capital IQ)
• Assist in producing regular extensive market analysis / updates for corporate clients
• Provide support in developing Investor Relations strategies and IR communication advice
• Assist in advising corporate clients on ESG topics, strategy and implementation
• Support the team with industry and company research and analysis

You will work in a challenging and demanding working environment in the field of Investment Banking / Corporate Finance by supporting senior team members in the origination and execution of ECM transactions. You will have the possibility to work with experienced colleagues on interesting and diverse projects.

You will also get deep insight in the field of Investment Banking, in particular ECM business, of a leading European bank. You will have the chance to develop your knowledge about equity capital markets and investor communication, to improve your understanding for ESG topics, as well as your research skills and thus, to benefit from a steep learning curve.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in either Management or Corporate Finance
• A previous experience in Equity Capital Market or Investment Banking would be appreciated

Language skills:

• Fluent in English (B2-C1)
• German would be an asset

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

• Proficient/Good command of MS Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Experience with Bloomberg would be welcomed
• Good communication and presentation skills

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
