We are looking for new team members (m/f/d) in the field of product photography retouching. You would be responsible for image correction and manipulation for both product, ad campaign and editorial style photographs in a high-volume setting. You must be able to work independently, as well as in collaboration, and be able to take art direction.

• High-Volume Retouching: Retouch a large number of product images daily, ensuring consistency with our established visual style guide.

• Gear Focus: Specialize in retouching images of various products, including apparel, model images, bikes, and other cycling gear.

• Image Enhancement: Perform image corrections, colour balancing, and detail enhancement to ensure high-quality output in line with company standards.

• Digital Asset Management: Organize and manage digital assets, using and updating Smartsheets and excel lists, uploading files to internal servers, and ensuring backups

are maintained.

• Collaborative and efficient workflow: Work closely with photographers, producer and product managers to ensure that all images meet the required standards and are delivered on time. Effectively manage workloads and be able to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Technical Expertise: Utilize a range of Photoshop functions to achieve highest image quality. Knowledge of Pen tool, levels, curves, colour balance, smart objects, masking, dodge/burn techniques, and Photoshop Actions is a must.

• Education & Experience: You have a design-based education or studies in photography, film, media, or communication design. You also possess 1-3 years of retouching experience in the industry, particularly in eCommerce.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Photoshop, including non-destructive workflow techniques. Familiarity with Mac-based equipment is essential, and experience with CaptureOne is a plus.

• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with a strong understanding of lighting, composition, and creative troubleshooting in photo compositing.

• Communication & Organization: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work well within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Adaptability: Structured in your approach to work, proactive, and able to adapt to new workflows and procedures.

• Language Skills: Strong understanding of English (both written and verbal) is required; knowledge of German is a plus.

• Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating your retouching skills is required.

This role requires a combination of technical proficiency and meticulous attention to detail.

Success in this position also requires the ability to work effectively within a team, manage multiple projects concurrently, and prioritize tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills, ensuring daily responsibilities are planned and executed with a high level of accountability. Work is on-site in our Bannberscheid studio.
