WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Leadership Talent Track Trainee Program will prepare you for your future role as a leader at Daimler Truck or Daimler Buses in various German locations.
The 24 months Leadership Talent Track offers you the following aspects:

During your traineeship you will go through various departments. Based on your individual expertise, your home area could be in one of the following departments:
Daimler Truck (Stuttgart):
The department "Fuel Injection Systems and Turbo Charger Development" designs and develops Daimler turbochargers and injection systems for Daimler Truck engines worldwide (diesel, gas, and hydrogen engines). These systems are key performance components of our powertrain. Our scope ranges from the design and testing of these hardware components to the development of the necessary control systems, software functions, and application, as well as project management. The department functionally manages development activities within the framework of global projects in the international Daimler Truck development network, including the USA, Japan, China, Brazil, and India. Those who join our team will gain foundational knowledge in series production development, project management, and crisis management at the highest technical, organizational, and methodological levels.
Daimler Buses (Mannheim / Neu-Ulm):
At Daimler Buses, we shape the future of mobility around the globe. Our “Bus Technology” department is responsible for the development activities regarding HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) in all our ZEV & ICE buses worldwide. This includes component and system development as well as integration and application into our vehicles. For current and future city buses and coaches, we foster innovation towards zero-emission, efficiency and sustainability – while always engineering for great passenger and driver comfort.
The "Governance & Technical Compliance" department provides the organizational and regulatory framework for product development at Daimler Buses. Our focus areas range from homologation, functional safety, and cyber security to quality management, product development processes, and engineering IT. Joining our team means actively shaping how safe, sustainable, and innovative buses are developed – both strategically and methodologically.
