Duties

Job holder conducts Surveillance Detection operations as a member of a tactical team of Surveillance Detection personnel. This includes daily operational supervision for a three (3) member Surveillance Detection Unit (SDU). Job holder is accountable for operational Surveillance Detection equipment assigned to the SDU. Job holder directly reports to the Surveillance Detection Coordinator.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one (1) year of military, police, or private experience in the field of security is required. In addition, six (6) months of supervisory experience is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of surveillance techniques is required. Familiarity with local pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns and habits, experience in the preparation of reports and schedules, awareness of cultural norms and customs is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of high school is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:

English limited knowledge reading/writing/speaking is required (this may be tested).

German good working knowledge reading/writing/speaking is required (this may be tested).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must possess a driver's license.
Prepare oral and written reports, and operate communications SD equipment and cameras is required (this may be tested).
Basic computer skills are required, to include keyboarding with accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel (this may be tested).

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Munich, Germany may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
