Audi Denkwerkstatt is an agile innovation unit in the start-up ecosystem of AUDI AG in Berlin. It has been in existence for almost five years and is now one of the most successful corporate innovation units among German companies. During its intrapreneurship program, cross-functional teams develop digital solutions in the context of mobility. The innovation process focuses on customer needs with a view to the digital ecosystem as a whole. Agile methods, years of expertise of venture developers and a strong network with relevant players in the tech and start-up environment are employed to produce scalable business models. As an intern in the Communications team at Audi Denkwerkstatt, you will take on your own sub-projects in innovation communications and get familiar with a large industrial company as well as the start-up ecosystem in Berlin through the interface between the two worlds. You will also gain exciting insights into the methodical working approach and team culture of Audi Denkwerkstatt.

Job Purpose/Role

Support the concept development and implementation of communication measures of the Audi Denkwerkstatt, including current projects related to digital business models, events or various digital communication formats
Visual-conceptual design as well as editorial creation of a range of different communications content (including press materials, website, social media channels)
Tasks in the area of community management for various internal and external stakeholders
Collaboration and independent implementation of (partial) projects with various cooperation partners
Research on relevant media topics of a social, economic and technological nature
Support in the planning and implementation of various events

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

Degree program in the field of journalism, media studies, communication design or communication sciences
Enthusiasm for digital innovations and new technologies in the context of mobility as well as openness to the specifics of innovation communication in the automotive industry
Journalism skills for implementing progressive communication measures and traditional press work
Know-how in digital communications (e.g. website concept design, visual communication)
Interest in community management with players in the start-up, founder and tech scene
Very good English skills as well as sound Adobe and MS Office skills, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and PowerPoint
The ideal candidate has some previous practical journalism experience and has implemented their own (partial) projects
High social and communication skills, initiative and creativity as well as strong analytical and conceptual skills
