BMC Software is looking for a Data Analytics Scientist for our Service and Operations management Organization. As a Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, you will play a vital role in analyzing data, developing models, and driving data-driven insights that contribute to our success.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, extract valuable insights, and develop predictive models that enhance our products and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teams to define project objectives, data requirements, and success criteria.- Clean, preprocess, and analyze diverse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Apply machine learning algorithms to develop predictive models that support decision-making.
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in discussions to brainstorm creative solutions and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data science and analytics.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data-related processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Extensive experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly) to present insights effectively.
- Familiarity with SQL and database systems for data querying and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex data challenges.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to various audiences.
- Previous experience in Service or Operations management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed computing is a plus
