Custody and Clearing - Securities Services

One of the world’s leading custodians providing custody, clearing and settlement, agency securities lending and fund services with multi-market excellence in more than 30 markets around the world. We provide smarter custody solutions that focus on client’s specific post-trade goals and data that empowers them to improve their efficiency and process.

As a Business Functional Analyst (f/m/x) with operational background, you will be responsible for trade date to settlement date processes (pre-matching and confirmation, trade processing, cash transfer, instruction routing, depot and inventory management, funding, and settlement monitoring) and post-settlement date processes (fails management).

Your key responsibilities

• Understand operational aspects of the trade lifecycle post execution: trade capture, confirmation, clearing, settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, proxy voting, reporting, etc and analysing the impact of any new requirements (business, regulatory or technical) on these areas.
• Understand the Target Operating Model (ToM) and Key Operating Procedures (KoPs) and help enhance / enrich them to make the existing processes more efficient.
• Work closely with other business analysts / SMEs to understand the overall product requirements and analyse their impact on any downstream and upstream Ops processes.
• Assist the testing team in identifying and defining use cases / test cases from business and operations perspectives and in validating the test results
• Support the stakeholders during their testing phase and analyse the impact of reported issues and identified bugs, issues, and change requests from an Operations perspective.

Your skills and experiences

• Multiple years of experience in the Asset Servicing domain (trade clearing, settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, proxy voting, reporting, etc.).
• Proven at managing Operations processes with various levels of automation, and ability to re-engineer manual processes with a focus on automation.
• Strong analytical skills, fluency in Microsoft Office skills, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working closely with the project team and supporting testing activities (both manual and automated).
• Strong expertise in functional analysis and requirement engineering. Experience with documentation tools like Confluence / Sharepoint and Agile tools like JIRA is a plus.
