Clariness is looking for a Senior Medical Copywriter (f/m/d) based in Berlin, Hamburg or remote within Germany or UK.

As a Senior Medical Copywriter, you would be responsible for:

• Reading and understanding study protocols - incl. protocol amendments, patient populations, and indication.
• Creating content for study materials (print materials, websites, etc.) based on clinical trial protocols – explain the purpose, design, and significance of a clinical trial.
• Tailoring content to different target audiences and adapting the tone and level of technical detail to match the knowledge and needs of the intended readers (i.e. healthcare professionals, patients, etc.)
• Editing copy and performing quality checks (QCs) to ensure accuracy and consistency – proofread materials to minimize errors.
• Implementing client feedback and discussing feedback with the client.
• Managing and prioritizing copy-related tasks from multiple projects/studies based on deadlines, ensuring content is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
• Provide insight and help in development and streamlining content development processes in collaboration with the Content Team Lead
• Manage, develop, and maintain the Copywriter's freelancer pool and mentor other medical copywriters and working students
• Collaborating closely with graphic designers to contribute ideas for creative concepts/study identities.

We would like you to have:

• Min 5 years' experience in Medical Copywriting with a Portfolio and/or example of work.
• Min 2 years in a Copywriting team lead position.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field of study like Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a similar field; (Scientific) Journalism is a plus.
• Ability to write (scientific/medical content) and adapt texts to various target groups, such as patients, healthcare professionals, and pharma companies, as well as having the skill to translate science into marketing and patient-friendly content.
• Solution- and detail-oriented, communicative as well as structured hands-on personality.
• Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign are a plus.
• Excellent English skills.
