Our client is an international medical device company, based in the Munich area that successfully develops, produces and commercializes imaging systems for preclinical and clinical research, using a unique novel technology on the market. More recently, the company has begun translating its technology for valuable routine clinical diagnostics of various types of diseases, including cancer, inflammatory, fibrotic, and cardiovascular diseases. Our client looks for a Chief Medical Officer (m/w/d) who takes the lead for the whole clinical development of the company and spearheading the entry into clinical diagnostics.

Tasks

As a key member of the Executive Team, you will develop a clear vision and compelling strategy for our client´s clinical development and market access, aligned with patient and market needs.

You will provide leadership and guidance to the clinical trial and market access team, defining and implementing clinical study strategies, prioritizing clinical studies as well as ensuring a robust clinical development in compliance with the regulatory requirements.

As a medical expert, you will provide professional medical knowledge and experience within the company and give a credible medical voice to the external medical community. You will evaluate market opportunities related to specific medical application areas and define market access strategies. In this role, you will interact with a strong network of medical experts, pilot users and KOLs.

Finally, you will regularly visit medical congresses and represent our client and its programs to external audiences, including the investment, medical and regulatory communities, as well as potential pharmaceutical and biotech industry collaborators/ partners.

Requirements

Are you a Medical Doctor with at least 10 years of professional experience in Clinical Development and/or Market Access/Strategic Business Development in the MedTech industry? Do you own a proven track record in developing and implementing successful clinical programs, from conception to time to market? Do you also enjoy working at the strategic level: mapping and evaluating market opportunities, and scouting new applications while building relationships with KOLs? Do you see yourself as a strong communicator and networker? Do you have a high affinity for a flexible and agile environment where you can take a major role in the clinical development of a company and act as its medical backbone?
