We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist who will lead the building of recommendation algorithms that will further enhance the learning experience for our users. As Data Scientist, you will be part of our team of highly experienced developers and will report directly to Lucas Hild, Knowunity Co-Founder and CTO.
Your mission will be to... - Lead the building of large-scale recommendation algorithms and systems, including content recommendations in Knowunity
- Productionise recommendation algorithms for over 12 Million students
- Extract relevant information from large amounts of various data and design algorithms to explore users' latent interests efficiently
- Closely collaborate with the search team to improve search relevance through recommendations

- 5+ years of programming experience
- Experience in building recommendation systems at a bigger scale using Collaborative Filtering, Matrix Factorization, Deep Neural Networks, etc.
- Ability and desire to rapidly learn new technologies and use different approaches to problem solving
- Business fluent in English
- You believe in the power of speed and execution and love to get your hands dirty
- You are obsessed to serve the user and strive to deliver over sticking to processes
