The Institute of International Health is dedicated to patient care, research and teaching. It hosts the postgraduate, English-medium Master's programme International Health. The Master's programme includes the so-called core course, followed by advanced modules which can be completed fully or partially at the Institute or other tropEd institutions, and ends with a scientific project (thesis). Currently, there are 170 students from ca. 30 countries enrolled in the Master’s programme. The teaching in the Master’s programme is done by about 100 lecturers from Germany and abroad. The secretariat of the Master’s programme is staffed with 2.5 full-time employees. Student assistants support the work.

Job Overview

• Your tasks as programme associate in the Master's programme International Health include the following main administrative activities:
• Communicating with applicants and students of the Master’s programme (e.g. about the Master's programme and the advanced modules offered, about the application process of the Master's programme, admission and registration, about the application for the advanced modules etc.)
• Administrating the students (e.g. communication with the student affairs office, preparation of invoices for the study fees, communication with the finance department, usage of the Hochschulinformations-System HIS, preparing of participant lists, provisioin of information and learning materials via the teaching and learning platform Moodle, minute taking during exams, evaluation of teaching units, issuing of certificates and references, visa support, maintaining the filing system)
• Creating the Newsletter
• Maintaining the website (Typo3)
• Preparing accounting, orders (SAP system)
• Occasionally administrative support for teaching (e.g. support of online teaching)

We are looking for

• Relevant education and training (Secondary education, preferably in office management/administration, communication)
• Very good organisational and excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
• Very good command of the English language
• Professional experience in education and training is an asset
• Professional experience in low-/middle-income countries or in international organizations in the health sector is an asset
• Proven ability to work in a team

Job Information

• Pay scale E7 according to TVöD- VKA- K. The grouping takes place under consideration of the qualification, the respective experience level is calculated from the completed professional years. The annual salary (gross) is given for a full-time position without annual bonus, allowances and additional services. You can find the collective agreement here.
