Description
This role will be a part of Team Internet's finance team within the Online division in Germany, where we are looking for an experienced Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role will involve preparing monthly balance sheet and income statement on tight deadlines, maintaining a high level of detail for accounting analysis and improving the automation of current accounting processes.
The role can be remotely based in Germany with ad hoc travel to the St Ingbert office.
Key outcomes of the role
- Preparation of current accounting (30 %)
- Reconciliation of G/L accounts and open items (debtors and creditors) (20 %)
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and business analyses (20 %)
- Preparation of statutory accounts under German GAAP (10 %)
- Review of VAT returns
- Revie of the CIT returns
- Process optimisation
- Support of group accounting in the context of the preparation of the consolidated financial statements
About you
- Have a passion for numbers
- Bring demonstrable experience of working as an accountant
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment
- Bring the experience German GAAP

- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in both English and German

Experience and skills that will help you succeed
- Qualified Accountant
- Knowledge of an accounting software, preferably Datev or SAP Business One
- Knowledge of tax calculation, in particular VAT
