Step into an exciting role at the Remote Expert Center in Karlsruhe, where you'll be an integral part of our Security Operation Center (SOC) team. Here, we tackle the ever-evolving challenges of cybersecurity in the realm of operational technology (OT), providing support to our worldwide clientele. Work hand-in-hand with our clients to analyze and resolve security events, ensuring their operations remain secure. As our customer base grows, you'll play a crucial role in onboarding new customer sites into our monitoring solution. During event analysis, you'll identify areas for enhancement and communicate these insights to our development team. Your feedback will drive updates that you’ll implement on-site, continuously refining our security measures. Ready to take the next step?
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Investigate and resolve events by providing technical analyses and recommendations for remediation via remote access
- Maintain, update, and improve our inspection solution and environment
- Support our customers by ensuring cyber security in their control systems
- Analyze and evaluate security technologies and products to determine effectiveness and suitability for OT customer environments
- Work together with product managers and development teams to ensure that new products and services meet cyber security standards and requirements
- Carry out on-site operations when necessary
- Be a backbone for our clients outside office hours by taking over weekly scheduled on-call shifts
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related field
- Experience in cyber security, preferably in the context of OT and ICS environments
- Knowledge of cyber security technologies, tools, and techniques, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) for scripting and automation
- Familiarity with IT and OT protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus, OPC, DNP3, IEC60870, IEC61850, PROFINET etc.
- Expertise in Windows and Linux
- Omnivise T3000, PCS7, SCADA, PLC, DCS or HMI skills are a plus
- Business fluency in written and spoken German; good working knowledge of English
- Enjoy travelling approximately 10%.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
