Position Description

As a key member of our team, you will manage essential freight administration and operational tasks. Your responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with cartage agents for efficient freight pickup and delivery.
• Strategic selection of road carriers and routing to meet specific shipment requirements.
• Managing bookings, negotiating competitive spot rates, and monitoring departures.
• Verifying critical import documents such as CMR, Road Manifests, and T1-customs bonds for precision.
• Executing standard and customer-specific SOPs to ensure operational excellence.
• Overseeing special handling shipments while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
• Maintaining data integrity within the Geodis Freight Management System and performing milestone checks.
• Handling the complete accrual and billing cycle alongside claims management.
• Collaborating globally with the GEODIS network, airlines, and subcontractors in both German and English.

Applicant's Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A successfully completed vocational qualification in Freight Forwarding.
• At least five years of professional experience in a comparable logistics position.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
• Expertise in import regulations, licensing, and customs compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Flexibility to support the team during weekend rotations when necessary.
