Your future plans
As a Controls Development Engineer you will work within the Battery Software & Controls team and be responsible for developing the control logic behind the operation and local optimisation of the plant. Following a model-based-design approach, you implement and verify control concepts to fulfill all relevant services and applications of our plants. You work with an agile methodology with a focus on the productisation of our project solution.
In addition, in your role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Review and assess technical requirements for controls, including grid-codes and norms
- Conceptualisation of control solutions to satisfy technical requirements
- Develop models to allow control development and testing
Implement MATLAB/Simulink to support the development of electrical controls and create the right testing environments to allow for unit and system testing
Your powerful skills
- Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Several years (minimum 4 years) of experience in development of electrical controls for embedded applications
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or C++
- Proficiency in modelling and simulation of electrical power systems
- Knowledge of at least one automatic code generation tool from Mathworks and familiar with real time systems
- Good understanding of product and technical requirements for Battery Systems in different market sectors
