Data Scientist*

As a part of our Digital Commercial Team, you will support our vison to become a data driven pharmaceutical powerhouse. You will start in the German Team and drive as Data Analyst/Scientist the conceptualization and realization of high quality and valuable data services and products to our business stakeholder. As part of the data community within BioNTech and the data team within commercial you will act as an interface role between our business stakeholder and data engineers to create data value cases.

Your main responsibilities are:

Take ownership as product owner of the conceptualization and realization of data value cases together with our business stakeholder and delivery teams
Identify and prioritize data initiatives within commercial data domain and exchange with Business Process Owners to solve business challenges and requirement through data analysis
Standardize and collaborate cross-functionally by defining and developing functional standards to rapidly implement data value cases, and coordinating with our internal data owners
Independent planning, execution and implementation of reporting and data use cases
Advance projects with scientific methods - from explorative analysis to model building to the definition of the appropriate analysis strategies (predictive and prescriptive analytics)

What you have to offer.

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience as Data Analyst and/or Data Scientist ideally in the commercial domain of life science & pharmaceutical industry
Proven track record in business intelligence and data analysis projects, ideally in a product owner role
Strong knowledge of project management tools such as Jira/Confluence and data visualization tool such as Tableau and Power BI
Knowledge of AI driven advanced and predictive analytics models is a plus
Strong conceptual and communication skills especially ability to translate and articulate the business requirements related to data services and products into technical requirements for realization
Out-of-the-Box thinker and very strong analytical and logical skills as well as operational/hands-on ability and strong project management skills
Fluent in German and English
