The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Application Developer to join the Factory Software team. You will join an expert team that supports the operational health for the systems that manufacture our cars, superchargers, and energy storage. The ideal candidate will have a good balance of relationship building with users of our system, solving technical problems and manufacturing/warehouse system knowledge.

What You’ll Do

Ability to facilitate delivery of Tesla’s manufacturing software systems by resolving day to day issues.
Understands the end-to-end workflow of Factory Software systems like manufacturing execution system and material flow management system applications and the other integrating systems.
Quickly troubleshoot, build tools and document issues that require immediate solutions if a permanent fix is not possible by existing software solution
Document troubleshooting guides to empower your teammates and users of our systems
Work directly with software developers to understand user issues, propose and provide solutions
Setup automation and monitoring systems to optimize utilization of factory software
Respond to and handle business process change requests that require coordination between cross-functional teams.
Be nimble and react quickly to changing business conditions

What You’ll Bring

Working knowledge of querying the databases with SQL
Experience with Python, Go or other software development language
Must be able to understand integrated systems and their dependencies
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and a self-starter
Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them
Proficiency working in a high-impact, responsive, and collaborative team environment - Smart but humble, with a bias for action
Understanding of queues and stream processing is nice to have
Work in shifts to support the 24/7 production (late shift, night shifts and weekends included)
