ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Strategy Intern, you will work on multiple strategic projects in parallel that will help further buycycle’s growth on a global scale. You will play a key role in helping the company launch new markets as well as help with researching, formulating, and implementing new growth initiatives for our existing markets. This role is a multi-faceted and challenging one which requires a high level of motivation, a strong sense of ownership, and a structured way of working. The prospect of owning and leading your own projects from day 1 excites you. The pay off will be a steep learning curve as well as the ability to proudly say that you helped a startup in its hyper growth phase expand into new markets and further establish its presence in existing ones.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work directly with our strategic project manager and one of our co-founders to bring our platform to the next level and expand the buycycle brand to new markets
• Support in all phases of launching a new market (conceptual -> operational -> launch)
• Research and play a critical role in selecting new markets as part of buycycle's global expansion launching roadmap
• Develop market overview presentations for Tier 1 markets as part of our global expansion launching roadmap
• Perform localization research to ensure that our platform is up to date with the latest localization developments/requirements and we will be seen as a truly local brand from the get go when launching a new market
• Research and assist in improving strategic marketing efforts for select EU & expansion markets (Guerilla marketing, etc.)

ABOUT YOU

• You’re currently enrolled in a field of study like Business Administration, Economics or something similar (we’re also open to other degrees if you have a can-do attitude and think you have what it takes to excel at the responsibilities that come with this role as mentioned above, as well as the other qualifications below)
• You are keen on working in a fast moving/high-performance environment and have already gained first internship/working student experiences at a high growth startup or strategy consulting firm
• You’re a true team player but also know how to roll up your sleeves and get things done individually.
• You have strong analytical reasoning skills as well as a structured way of working, knowing how to hit your deadlines.
• You know how to get things done. You will be guided at all times throughout your internship, but we would love to have an intern in our team who isn’t afraid of taking initiative and going the extra mile.
• Your excel and powerpoint skills are intermediate to good, and ideally you have built decks that were shared with and/or presented to senior management
• Excellent English skills complete your profile.
