The Position

Tasks & responsibilities

• As Head of Laboratory, you will be responsible for investigating both in vivo and in vitro metabolism of drug candidates.
• The elucidation of chemical structures of small molecule metabolites will also be a key aspect of your new role.
• You will actively drive communication and discussion of study results with international multidisciplinary Research & Development project teams.
• In addition, you will integrate the derived knowledge into the development process of new drug candidates.

Requirements

• Academic degree (preferably PhD) in chemistry or a discipline related to biomedical sciences. Alternatively, master´s degree with long-time professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Professional experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis of data derived from biological samples using high-resolution LC-MS/MS systems
• Knowledge of chemical structures and expertise in designing mass spectrometry (MS) experiments to obtain data on chemical structures of metabolites of xenobiotic compounds
• Cooperative work style, excellent organizational and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and competency to work in multidisciplinary project teams
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Advanced proficiency in German is a plus
