What can you expect?

• You design, build, and maintain highly scalable and available systems that meet business and customer needs
• You are capable of owning a technical domain, managing a backlog prioritized by business impact and working on cross team topics ahead of actual implementation start
• You work collaboratively with the product, design, and other engineering teams to understand requirements, develop technical solutions, and deliver high-quality products
• You stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and bring new ideas and innovations to the team
• You develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's technical landscape, architecture, and infrastructure, and provide strategic guidance to inform technical decisions
• You monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of systems, and troubleshoot technical issues when necessary
• You lead and mentor senior engineers (m/f/d), providing technical guidance, coaching, and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the team

What should you bring along?

• You have 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• You are able to guide strategic architecture-related discussions, brings practical solutions to the table in a form of proposed technologies, patterns, algorithms
• You have demonstrated expertise in designing and building highly scalable products
• You have a strong proficiency in dynamically-typed programming languages (preferably Ruby) and SQL
• You have Experience with software development practices, such as Agile, TDD, BDD
• You have experience in DevOps / Database Management
