MicroPyros BioEnerTec GmbH (www.micropyros.de) is a young start-up company developing biotechnological processes for the production of green gases. Core competence is the cultivation and selection of high-performing microorganisms. Company activity includes the development of process engineering applications from laboratory to industrial scale. In cooperation with Pietro Fiorentini (www.fiorentini.com) complete plants are designed, built, and optimized for installation in Germany and international markets.

With the aim to further support the development of our technologies, we are searching for our location in Straubing, Germany:

R&D Biotechnologist:
Biological process development in the laboratory as well as transfer of laboratory technical knowledge into pilot plant scale and industrial application;
Selection and adaptation of selected microorganisms for the production of "green gases" such as renewable methane;
Planning and support of research and development of microbiological and biotechnological production processes from laboratory and pilot plant scale to industrial scale;
Independent planning, execution, and evaluation of test runs on a laboratory and a pilot plant scale;
Interaction with European leading scientific Institutes.

Your profile:
Completed scientific studies (preferably M.Sc.) in the field of Biology or comparable;
Enthusiastic in being part of the development of green energies;
Experience in dealing with microorganisms in the laboratory;
Experience in the field of industrial application of microbiological processes in pilot plants is a plus;
High motivation and commitment to quickly familiarize with new open questions;
Analytical thinking, ability to work in a team, flexibility, and exact and self-sufficient working methods round off your profile;
Willingness to travel for research, development, operation, and optimization of biotechnological processes in plants.
