The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for leading the construction team and delivering a project in Central Berlin. The project has unique civil and structural aspects and will span over 2 years. The CPM will report directly to the Country CEO.

Obowiązki

Lead the construction team through the entire duration of the construction project

Manage Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) matters on the Project

Input to and help develop the procurement and delivery strategy for the project

Work closely with the Development Manager and the design team to optimize concept design, specification, performance and commercial position

Input to the production of tender documents, tender assessment and trade contractor appointment with the commercial team

Optimise resources to meet cost constraints and assist construction director to plan and allocate appropriate supervisory resources

Role model company values and encourage the development of individuals

Implement project controls and reporting responsibilities

Deliver strategic Risk Management across pre & post contract stages of a project

Provide early warnings to the Country CEO on problem issues and potential over spend as soon as they are apparent

Engage with and build on existing and new sub-contractors and suppliers

Challenge the programme and procurement strategy and identify opportunities to improve the profitability of the scheme

Manage the profitability of the project by overseeing construction budget expenditure, conducting regular reviews against plan and budget and taking corrective actions as required

Generate, challenge and deliver the principles of Value Management opportunities during design development, tendering and delivery stages of the project

Oczekiwania

Doświadczenie

A background leading large scale commercial construction projects, ideally from a general contractor background
Demonstrates ownership, brings enthusiasm, shows an open-minded learning mindset and a collaborative attitude
Ability to challenge procurement, design and programme to enable delivery of best value solutions
Pre-contract and post contract experience is essential
Hands-on attitude combined with very good analytical skills
