You’ll join more than 6,000 CARIDIANS already working on the latest vehicle features and functions like automated driving, state-of-the-art charging technology, as well as a new digital ecosystem. Together, we’re bringing sustainable change to one of the largest companies in the world.
Within the department for Hardware Purchasing we are looking for a dynamic and curious new colleague who is ready to shape the future of automotive radar solutions. In doing so you will be taking over the global purchasing lead function for automotive radar systems for the entire Volkswagen Group. At CARIAD purchasing we focus on value adding partnerships instead of traditional supplier-customer-relationships with our Tier-1 partners. Having that in mind, you will be in charge of combining your market intelligence and supplier know how together with the strategic perspectives from our semiconductor and software teams into best-in-class products which power of the next generation short-, mid and long range radars. Those are an essential element of our autonomous and assisted driving functions – that means you will be a key element in defining the driving experience of tomorrow for Audi, Porsche and VW cars.
Our international team of 8 people features various professional backgrounds from industries like automotive, electronic component production and semiconductor design. We appreciate an friendly, open and respectful working atmosphere while we are really enjoying what we do – it’s absolutely fun to establish CARIAD and its supply network as the leading tech eco-system within the world of automotive! We mainly focus on global market intelligence, the compilation of purchasing strategies and eventually the selection of the right partners who provide CARIAD’s sophisticated hardware set-up on which our software platform will be running. In doing so, we are fostering a close collaboration with our current and potential suppliers as well as with our internal partners from e.g. R&D, Finance and the brands of Volkswagen Group.
