The research centre CRC 1646 "Linguistic Creativity in Communication" has the following 30 job openings:
The CRC 1646 is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and investigates linguistic creativity in communication from a range of different perspectives.
The offered Research Positions are associated with the following areas of expertise and responsibilities:
- 21 positions in linguistics (job scope 65 %)
- 1 position in literary studies (job scope 65 %)
- 1 position in philosophy (job scope 65 %)
- 2 positions in psychology (job scope 75 %)
- 5 positions in computational linguistics/computer science (job scope 100 %)

Your Tasks
- research tasks (95 %):
- scientific research in one of the projects of the CRC, which ideally also forms the basis for further scientific qualification in the form of a doctorate; networking within the CRC
- active participation in the qualification program of the graduate school of the CRC
- presentation of project results at national and international conference and contribution to project publications
- participation in the SFB organisation and self-administration (5 %)
The possibility of a PhD is given. Employment is conducive to scientific qualification.

Your Profile
We expect
- relevant, successfully completed scientific university degree (for example Master of Arts, Master of Sciences or Diploma), for example in linguistics, computational linguistics, clinical linguistics, or in computer science / cognitive sciences / philosophy / psychology / different philologies with a clear focus on research of language
- We are happy to receive applications by people who have not yet finished their scientific university degree by the time of application but expect to be finished by project start April 1, 2024.

Preferred experience and skills

- interest in working in a larger research initiative and in interdisciplinary research
