Aufgaben

/Objective of the position:
Within the Region Europe, the Used Vehicle Sales & Customer Centre (MBD/VU - Sale of used vehicles and customer center) department is responsible as a Center of Competence for the overall control, systems and processes, remarketing and sales of used Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. We are also responsible for the professional delivery and return of vehicles via the customer centres (Kundencenter) in Germany. One of the core tasks of VU is the management and support of our European markets in the used business.

As Market Manager for the 4-6 markets assigned to you, you will be responsible for the wholesale inventories, the sales volume and the sales processes and systems in the European markets. To this end, you will collaborate closely with your partners in the assigned European markets, the region Europe, central and within VU.

These challenges await you:
Planning & Steering within your assigned markets:

Design, preparation, control and implementation of the planning premises of central and the Region Europe for the used business
Defining the necessary KPIs ( Key Performance Indicators) for managing the used vehicle business and reconcile the qualitative and quantitative targets with Used Cars Europe strategy
Ensuring the qualitative and quantitative target achievement via the previously defined and agreed KPIs (e.g. sales, inventory, turnover factors, MB (Mercedes-Benz) share of the certifies pre-owned vehicle CPO registrations) and run countermeasures in case of target deviations

Market support:

Monitor, analyze country-specific market developments (overall market development, peer class, direct competitors) as well as the economic and political situation and developing, evaluating and following up recommendations for action
Support, controlling and consulting of the European MPC/MOC ( Market Performance Centre/Market Operations Center) (planning, controlling, clearing) by developing and implementing strategic objectives and initiatives in the assigned markets
Ensuring the best possible remarketing of returned vehicles and development of forward-looking concepts to exploit existing and future market and revenue potential (e.g. introduction of a subscription model for used vehicles)

System development & integration :

Product owner for defined used car applications
Conception, development and enhancement of digital marketing and communication channels (e.g. Used Car Online Store, B2C ( business to consumer) marketing through Wholesale)
Europe-wide introduction and further development of new sales processes and systems in the markets - incorporating market requirements and improvement potentials in centrally controlled projects while fostering cooperation of MPC/MOC across Europe

Qualifikationen

What you bring to the table:

You have a very good degree in business administration or economics
Business fluent English is essential, other languages of the European area are an advantage
You have several years of experience in sales and/or market management
Ideally, you complement this experience with very good knowledge of the used business and/or the development of complex sales processes
Your excellent knowledge of MS Office applications as well as basic programming skills in Microsoft PowerBI will be an advantage in your new job
You prioritise independently and communicate confidently with stakeholders across different functions, cultures and management levels

Personal skills:

You have strong analytical skills, which you can use in the development of recipient-oriented presentations of complex issues
You are flexible in terms of time and place and willing to travel within Europe for several days
High degree of self-direction and teamwork skills
