Let's connect: Join us as an Accountant / Member of Staff in Accounting on the financial management team of Hannover Re at our location in Hannover / Germany and get to know our departments Group Finance and Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation. You can look forward to

in Group Finance:
- Preparing annual and quarterly financial statements as well as planned figures and forecasts in accordance with IFRS and HGB
- Analysing and implementing software changes in the SAP general ledger
- Reporting under Solvency II Pillar 3
in Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation:
- Technical scrutiny, processing and posting of statements of account in our worldwide reinsurance business
- Claims processing incl. sanctions screening
- Contributing to the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
- Assuring payment transactions as well as handling correspondence and dunning processes
- Involvement in automation and digitalisation initiatives

You come equipped with

Degree in business administration and/or commercial training
Initial professional experience in finance and/or accounting, obtained for example in the area of insurance, banking, controlling, taxation or auditing
Basic understanding of the various accounting standards, e.g. HGB, IFRS17 and Solvency II
SAP know-how is an asset
Curiosity to familiarise yourself with various IT landscapes and further refine them
Very good numerical reasoning coupled with analytical and conceptual abilities
Independent user skills in German and English
