Our experts in our Government Relations, Policy & Advocacy practice with Offices in Berlin, Paris and Brussels advice companies regarding the impact of political, societal and economic developments on their business model as well as on the strategic positioning in that context. That includes support for the advocacy of legitimate interests, media engagement as well as the analysis and recommendations for the optimal organization of the areas of Governmental Relations and Policy. Our Brussels office serves as the EU hub of FGS Global.

Consultant/Associate in Public Affairs (EU)

What can you look forward to?

• Contributing to project teams’ work, e.g. assessing political and regulatory developments, drafting strategies and/or campaigns to shape public policy and the surrounding media debate.

• In this entry-level position, you will typically work in teams of three to five consultants with different levels of seniority and across policy fields.

• Your everyday tasks will include gathering insights and analysing information, mapping policy and media networks, formulating communication materials, and developing recommendations for presentation to the client.

• From there, you will help clients and team members implement these recommendations and support outreach with relevant stakeholders at EU and/or national level.

What should you bring along?

• You graduated with excellent results - the subject of your studies is less important than your enthusiasm for politics and communication.

• You have already gained relevant work experience through internships in EU institutions or in the EU public policy environment; insights in a specific policy field or media/media relations is an asset.

• You show an interest in working for business, an entrepreneurial mindset, and high motivation to master challenging assignments under tight deadlines and with attention to detail.

• You demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and organizational strength, and you are a proven team player.

• You are able to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
