Packs EMEA (EASTPAK - KIPLING - JANSPORT) is looking for an exceptional VISUAL MERCHANDISER to join our team based in Berlin, Germany.

Be a true brand ambassador for the Eastpak, Kipling and Jansport brands. Working as part of a global team, you will visit branches of Key Accounts within a designated geographical area to positively change the perception of the brands. To increase sales & brand awareness within designated stores through staff training, sales support, stock management and excellent visual merchandising.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

• Arrange comprehensive weekly / bi-weekly store coverage of all pre-assigned retailers adhering to the weekly rota system - Estimated 4 ½ days travel per week, Berlin 60%, DE key cities 40%
• Build excellent instore relations with managers and store staff to maximise sales; through product & brand knowledge & excellent customer service.
• Conduct staff training sessions on a seasonal basis, both formal and informal ensuring that all staff fully understand the features and benefits of the relevant VF product range and that they are motivated to sell those products
• Merchandise product, highlighting KEY features & ensure stocks are maximised at all times. All styles should be on display & not in the stockroom.
• Feedback to brand teams any sell through data, stock holding information (stock counts), display potential, competitor activity and any other information to assist the Account Managers and Marketing departments
• To build excellent instore relationships to ensure product is displayed in the best position & to ensure retail presentation is of a high standard. Areas to have correct signage and POS at all times
• To work towards improving the profitability of the areas/account by setting regular objectives and assessing those objectives on a regular basis
• Merchandise instore displays adhering to Eastpak, Kipling and Jansport Point of Sale calendar.
• To take photos of areas as per photo guidelines and to send them in regularly to Head Office.
• building a relationship with DE Sales team and DE Marketing Manager to ensure both sales and marketing needs, and brand growth/development targets are met.

Skills for Success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

• Marketing or Visual Merchandising Degree; Bachelor level
• 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar position in the action sports/lifestyle/fashion industry.
• Passion & interest for EASTPAK/KIPLING/JANSPORT brands as well as deep understanding of the retail backpack/luggage industry
• Analytical Skills: sell in & sell through, stock management, competitor benchmark...
• Language skills: Fluent in English & German (both written and spoken). Notions of other European languages would be a plus.
• Excellent presentation skills, showing confidence to retailers, buyers and sales force.
• Experience in working in multicultural teams.
• Willing to travel frequently, 4 ½ days travel per week, Berlin 60%, DE key cities 40%
• Enthusiastic, pro-active person, can handle stress and take initiatives.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and deliver on budget.
• Excellent attention to detail.
