Functional area: IT / Digital

As QA Engineer, you are QA lead and owner for the QA/test automation environment of our individual software projects (web based and mobile solutions). You technically design and lead the implementation of our QA platform and ensure the integration of automated tests (unit test, integration tests, end to end test, etc.) in our specialized web and mobile solutions which help RWE Renewables with the development, construction and operations of our wind onshore, wind offshore, solar and battery storage sites.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as QA lead by technically designing, implementing and operating a central QA platform
• Define and own QA/test automation governance incl. guidelines and policies such as quality gates
• Guide software development teams to apply the testing governance in their projects so that the QA platform is properly used, and test automation is ensured based on our policies
• Support with the implementation of tests as necessary
• Become our internal owner for related tools, esp. SonarQube and Snyk

Requirements (qualifications / experience / skills required):

• Profound knowledge and certifications for software quality assurance and test automation, using e. g. unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests, regression tests and smoke tests
• Profound knowledge and certifications for relevant technologies and frameworks, e. g. SonarQube, Snyk, Cypress, React Testing Lib, Mock Service Worker, Ranorex
• Profound knowledge and certifications of well-known testing workflows e.g. TDD, BDD, ATDD
• Ideally also knowledge and experience with our development technologies, e.g. React, C# .NET Core, Node.js, MongoDB, MSSQL
• Previous experience using agile methodologies and state of the art ways to develop software solutions
• Preferably a completed degree from a technical college or comparable qualification with practical, relevant experience
• You speak English fluently
