As part of the PLM Power Automation Solutions (SI EA PLM PA-SOL) team, you will be responsible for leading the requirement detailing, implementation, and maintenance of integrated engineering tooling systems within an organization. This role requires strong engineering and project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient use of engineering tools and software across the organization.
What part will you play? - You will develop a comprehensive strategy for integrated engineering tooling for Protection & Automation Solutions, aligned with the organization's overall engineering and business objectives.
- You will define and detail the technical requirements of the integrated engineering tool for Protection & Automation Solutions. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- You will collaborate with engineering teams, R&D Teams, software developers, IT, Global Engineering teams and other relevant stakeholders to detail the tooling requirements, identify gaps, and implement solutions that improve engineering productivity.
- You will ensure seamless integration of various engineering tools (e.g., Computer-Aided Design (e.g., E-Base) software, and other configuration tools to streamline workflows and data exchange across different engineering tools.
- You will implement testing and validation processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of integrated engineering tooling systems.
- You will develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate regional engineering teams on the effective use of integrated tooling systems. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users.
- You establish metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of integrated engineering tooling. Regularly review and analyze these metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- You will ensure that all engineering tools and systems comply with relevant industry standards, data security regulations, and intellectual property requirements.
- Furthermore, you stay up to date with advancements in engineering tools and technologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling capabilities and foster innovation within the engineering teams.
What you need to make real what matters. - You hold a master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
- You are an expert in energy transmission and energy distribution, as well as in protection and energy automation.
- You have many years of professional experience in engineering designs, software engineering and parameterization.
- You bring substantial knowledge and experience as engineering manager.
- You have in-depth knowledge of various engineering disciplines and the tools used in each domain (e.g., CAD, CAE, CAM, PLM, etc.).
- You have strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders effectively, both in written and verbal English. A second language (E.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi) would be highly appreciated.
- You are familiar with software development processes and knowledge in agile methodologies is a plus.
- You have a problem-solving and analytical mindset to identify issues and develop creative solutions.
- You bring relevant experience in the disciplinary leadership of international teams.
- You have already gained experience in country and project specific strategic coaching of engineering management.
- Intercultural experience and understanding are essential.
