Computational Biology Scientist (f/m/d)

Join our computational biology team to support Evotec on the data driven R&D Autobahn to cures! We are looking for a scientist, who has a strong background in biomedical sciences / Cardiology, and experience with OMICs data analysis and visualization.

Your key responsibilities:
- Use your expertise in Cardiology to mine OMICs data (focus on high resolution OMICs) of large patient cohorts for identification of novel drug targets and disease signatures
- Perform integrative analysis of multidimensional biological data to support project teams with novel, biologically relevant insights and hypotheses
- Drive the development of tools for data interpretation and visualization in an interdisciplinary team of computational scientists, bioinformaticians and biologists
- Work at the interface of dry and wet lab, communicate results to project teams within Evotec and external clients
Your ideal qualifications:
- Ph.D. in life sciences or related field with expertise in Cardiology and high-resolution OMICs data analysis
- Experience with R- or Python-based data analysis
- Experience in early Drug Discovery is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, collaborators and partners
- High level of initiative and flexibility; collaborative and reliable
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
