♻️ aevoloop sucht: Engagierter Chemical Engineer (f/m/d) für zukunftsweisendes Upcycling in Leipzig

Your mission

• Drive the development and scaling of aevoloop’s groundbreaking process for transforming plastic waste into essential components for our innovative polyester-based plastics, targeting a world-class capacity of 100+ kt/a.

• Construct and refine comprehensive gas-liquid / gas-solid processes, from initial plastic waste dosing to achieving aevoloop’s key intermediates.

• Lead the design and implementation of kg-lab scale batch and t-scale pilot continuous processes.

• Conduct thorough techno-economic assessments, process simulations, and mass and energy balance calculations to optimize the upcycling process.

• Collaborate with experienced chemists and mentor a team of technicians in the practical aspects of process engineering.

• Generate detailed technical reports and patent disclosures.

• Ensure adherence to SHEQ and sustainability standards across all laboratory, pilot, and production activities, emphasizing HAZOP analysis and process safety.

Your profile

• M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field, with gas-liquid process experience. A Ph.D. is highly desirable.

• Minimum of two years’ industrial experience in gas-liquid / gas-solid process development and scaling from kg-lab to t-pilot scale.

• Strong understanding of polymer science, particularly polyolefins, including applications, formulation, and behavior.

• Expertise in gasification and partial oxidation processes is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in HAZOP analysis, process simulation, techno-economic analysis, and mass and energy balancing.

• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken); German proficiency is a plus.

• Possess a proactive mindset, efficient work habits, and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines in a dynamic startup environment.
