Klassik Stiftung Weimar Fellowships
Mit ihrem Fellowship-Programm fördert die Klassik Stiftung Weimar herausragende wissenschaftliche, publizistische und künstlerische Projekte im Rahmen von drei Förderlinien. Als Residenzstipendien gewähren sie einen mehrmonatigen Aufenthalt in der Kulturstadt Weimar.
With its fellowship programme, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar supports outstanding scientific, essayistic and art projects within three funding lines. As residency scholarships, they offer a sojourn of several months in Weimar.
Gefördert werden kreative Projekte von Kunst- und Kulturschaffenden, die einen engeren oder weiteren Bezug zu Weimar und zur Gegenwart aufweisen. Das Projekt soll in der Öffentlichkeit sichtbar werden, beispielsweise in Form einer Ausstellung, Werkschau, Veranstaltung oder Intervention.
Grant for artists and culture workers whose projects have a closer or wider reference to Weimar and/or current matters. The project should become visible within the public realm, for example in form of an exhibition, an event or an intervention.
Das Fellowship ermöglicht einen zweimonatigen Aufenthalt für ‚freie Geister‘ in Weimar und soll so eine philosophische, wissenschaftliche oder publizistische Arbeit befördern. Ein Bezug zum Denken Nietzsches ist von Vorteil, aber nicht zwingend.
The fellowship enables a two-month stay for ‘free spirits’ in Weimar and aim to promote a philosophical, a scientific or an essayistic project. A reference to Nietzsche’s philosophy is expedient, though not obligatory.
Die Weimar-Fellowships fördern wissenschaftliche Projekte, welche die europäische Kulturgeschichte von der frühen Neuzeit bis zur Gegenwart zum Thema haben und auf die in Weimar vorhandenen Sammlungen zurückgreifen.
The Weimar-Fellowships provide support for graduates, post-doctoral researchers and habilitated scientists who wish to use the Weimar collections for their research work. Fellows can work in all institutions maintained by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, with preference given to the Goethe and Schiller Archive, the Duchess Anna Amalia Library and the museums in order to use the broad inventory of historic books, manuscripts and other documents.
