Join the University of Maryland Global Campus team as a Program and National Test Center Coordinator in Spangdahlem, Germany! This pivotal role involves providing essential academic, administrative, and testing support services while fostering strong community outreach and customer relations.
As a front-line staff member, you'll deliver exceptional service to both current and prospective students, working collaboratively within a dynamic team. Reporting to the Site Lead (or Assistant Director), you'll collaborate with various stakeholders, including Regional Directors, Program Coordinators, faculty, and the military community.
Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required, along with potential travel.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Deliver outstanding customer service to students, acting as their advocate and advisor throughout their academic journey via various communication channels.
Promote and support UMGC services, including hybrid classes, testing, and university events.
Perform operational and administrative tasks to maintain offices and test centers to agency standards.
Maintain expertise in UMGC systems, including CRM databases like Salesforce and Peoplesoft.
Document student interactions within the CRM system and schedule follow-up activities.
Provide daily customer service to prospective and current students via in-person, phone, email, CRM, and video communications.
Cultivate positive relationships with Education Services Officers, military partners, and equivalents, providing periodic briefings as needed.
Organize and participate in local outreach events, representing UMGC professionally.
Track class enrollments and student interest, providing input on scheduling and ensuring adequate classroom resources. Assist faculty and students as needed.
Assist with processing students' military documentation (Tuition Assistance forms, orders, etc.).
Distribute marketing materials at assigned locations.
Execute site-specific outreach plans to support university recruitment and retention goals.
Provide National Test Center testing services while maintaining required certifications.
Participate in UMGC staff meetings and professional development activities.
Track and compile monthly statistics and provide reports.
Maintain clear communication with supervisors and staff to resolve student issues.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or equivalent.
Proven background in customer service.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic office management and clerical tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Successful completion of background check and meeting ILS requirements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
WHO MAY APPLY: Local candidates with ILS preferred. Applicant must qualify for ILS as described in USAREUR Regulation 600-700, Section III, 7-13. Criteria under which applicants qualify for ILS are: must serve the US Forces exclusively; are not stateless persons; are nationals of a NATO state, excluding the host nation; are not ordinarily resident in the host nation.

Benefits Package Highlights:
- Generous Time Off: Enjoy between 15 and 25 days of paid vacation time off, depending on your years of service, 15 days of sick leave, 3 personal days, and 11 Federal holidays. Part-Time rates will be prorated based on Full-Time Equivalency.

Contingent III employees who work on average 20 or more hours per week (130 hours per month) are eligible for subsidized state of Maryland medical and prescription benefits.
- Insurance Options: Term Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, and Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance. NOTE: CIII Part-time employees working less than 0.5 FTE are not eligible for LTD.
- Retirement Stipend: Contingent III employees receive a retirement stipend equal to 7.25 percent of their base salary and are eligible to contribute to a supplemental retirement account (SRA).
- Supplemental Retirement Plans: include 403(b), 457(b), and various Roth options. The university does not provide subsidies or matching funds.
- Tuition Remission: CIII employees are eligible immediately for Tuition Remission at UMGC or at University of Maryland College Park. Spouses and dependent children are eligible for undergraduate tuition remission after two years of service. NOTE: For part-time employees (at least 50 percent of the time), tuition remission benefits are prorated.
- Moving Allowance: May be available based on terms, conditions, and agreements of the position.

$38,200.00
Additional Compensation:
Employees receive the applicable currency adjustment (CAX) subject to monthly DoD COLA Index for the work location, which is subject to change and fluctuation based on market indices.
