Your role: As Associate Director/Lead (all genders) Search & Evaluation of AI applications in Drug Discovery and Development you will support our ambitious external innovation activities with the goal to foster our internal pipeline. You'll identify, evaluate, and maintain awareness of recent developments in data science and state-of-the-art Machine Learning (general AI) approaches to select and implement novel technologies that foster our AI drug discovery and development ambitions. You'll participate in scientific and partnering conferences to represent us and support the selection of future opportunities to increase R&D productivity. Furthermore, you'll engage and collaborate with our senior leaderships, internal experts to ensure seamless integration of external opportunities into our portfolio.
Who You Are: - MD, PhD or Pharma degree with solid experience in the intersection of pharma and AI/ML or Data Analytics, experience in computer science or computational biology is a plus.
- 5+ years' experience in Pharma/Biotech/Start-Up industry on either research, managing or search and evaluation of ML approaches, e.g. Large-Language-Models.
- Natural curiosity to investigate novel AI Drug Discovery & Development technologies spanning the pharma value chain from discovery to development, experience in Due Diligence is a plus.
- Excellent communicator, ability to structure, formulate and convey your message or conclusion with experts at eye-level.
- Team player with the personality to interact with executive management; experience in Business Development, Venture Capital, biotech, consulting, or AI Drug Discovery company is a plus.
- Position requires domestic and international travel up to 25% of time.
