Digital Business Innovation within ZDP is a cross-functional team building digital solutions and business models as well as driving strategic digital programs. We apply customer-centric methodologies like Design Thinking and Voice of the Customer and combine those with our business and strategy acumen.

Join us as Intern / Working Student UX Research (f/m/x) to shape and contribute towards the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS.

• developing a research plan incl. methodology – typically in early stage / Design Thinking projects
• preparation of research guidelines based on the aligned scope and hypotheses
• recruiting of relevant potential customers / users based on defined profiles / criteria, using internal networks and external partners / agencies
• onsite or remote research to explore user needs and to validate hypotheses and ideas with potential customers & users early and continuously, using state of the art tools
• documentation and storage of research data in efficient and compliant ways (e.g. applying and improving a data deletion concept)
• synthesis of key insights incl. clear, actionable recommendations in close collaboration with our UI/UX designers
• Sharing results with key stakeholders within ZEISS in most effective ways and ensure smooth handovers

Get to various fields and industries e.g. medical technology, eye care, industrial metrology and more.

• you study communication science, psychology, anthropology, human–computer interaction, UX design - or a similar professional field
• you are interested in design thinking, user research, UI/UX design and agile development
• you have a basic knowledge of costumer user research and methods and want to learn more
• you think and work in structured ways, are good at self-organizing, time and task management
• you are open to discover new and complex topics, e.g. in the medical or metrology context
• you are interested in new technology and how it can improve human experiences
• you are empathic and a great team player
• you are fluent in English and ideally also German
• you live in Munich or are willing to relocate
