Am Institut für Zoologie der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen engagierten

Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in mit Zielrichtung Habilitation im Themenbereich „Marine Symbiosen“

für eine auf 3 Jahre befristete Stelle mit Verlängerungsoption. Deine Aufgaben umfassen Forschung und Lehre (4 LVS) im Bereich Marine Symbiosen.

Wir bieten eine Vollzeitstelle (38,7 Std./Woche) mit Vergütung nach Entgeltgruppe 14 TV-L.

• Automatisierte Mikroskopie und Bilddatenanalytik mit KI

Dein Profil:

Du hast

• Exzellente Promotion in Zoologie oder verwandtem Fach
• Kenntnisse in Molekularbiologie, Bioinformatik und Meeresbiologie
• Wissenschaftliche Publikationen in relevanten Technikfeldern
• Erfahrung in universitärer Lehre
• Erfahrung in Teamarbeit
• Gute Deutsch- (B2) und sehr gute Englischkenntnisse (C1)

At the Marine Symbioses Working Group of the Institute of Zoology at Kiel University, a position as

Research Assistant with the aim of habilitation in the field of "Marine Symbioses"

is available at the earliest possible date, for an initial period of 3 years, with an option to extend it for a of 3 years. The teaching obligation is four course hours (LVS).

The regular weekly working time corresponds to full employment (currently 38.7 hours). If the requirements under collective bargaining law are met, remuneration is paid according to pay group 14 TV-L.

Are you passionate about symbiosis research, marine biology and marine invertebrates, working in an interdisciplinary team and would like to play an active role in university teaching? Then become part of our team for marine symbiosis research at the Zoological Institute of Kiel University.

Your research on marine symbioses in invertebrates will focus on current and innovative approaches, should include bioinformatic and experimental work, for example with the involvement of:

• bioinformatics methods of large multi-omics datasets
• single-cell-based sequencing methods
• High-resolution MS-MS-based proteomics
• automated microscopy and image data analytics, ideally with the help of artificial intelligence

Recruitment requirements:

You have

• A very good doctorate in zoology or a related course of study,
• Relevant previous knowledge in molecular biology, bioinformatics and marine biology
• scientific publications for at least one of the above-mentioned fields of technology
• Proof of teaching in biology at universities, preferably especially in the introductory phase of studies
• Evidence of research work in the team
• Good (at least B2 level) German and very good (at least C1 level) written and spoken English (German and English-language courses).
