What you will be doing
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Align programme performance with business case outcomes and customer commitments using established methodologies within the PMO.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication of programme alignment with organizational strategies and provide regular progress updates.
- Implement the Project Management Plan (PMP) across all projects, using key performance indicators to track progress, trends, and compliance.
- Maintain programme control systems with performance and compliance metrics, generating reports to address variances and ensure data quality.
- Chair the change control committee, ensuring change requests are sanctioned and incorporated at all programme levels.
- Provide assurance checks for sanctioned and incorporated change requests.
- Develop project/programme management capabilities within the team, leading to external accreditation.
- Lead best practice deployment, lean method development, and lessons learned sharing as part of Internal and External Communities of Practice.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Hold a degree in Project/Programme Management or equivalent, with membership or accreditation from recognized Project Management Professional Bodies (e.g., APM, PMI).
- Bring strong experience in delivering complex projects or leading a PMO, and lead and train all levels in Project/Programme Management competences.
- Have experience of working in a PMO, ideally leading the team in some or all areas of a PMO’s responsibility (working with Integrated Master Schedules, costs, resource, and earned value management methodologies; setting up and optimizing the PM(O) Function; managing all stages of a project lifecycle; and establishing a consistent risk management approach throughout an organization).
- Demonstrate proven people and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
- Have exposure to non-core project management roles such as purchasing, commercial, and engineering management.
- Exhibit excellent communication, networking skills, and organizational awareness to deliver clear messages at all levels.
- Possess strong soft skills, including problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork.
- Be fluent in English.
