As a 100% subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, we develop and integrate the next generation of Mercedes-Benz in-car infotainment systems that are based on the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MBOS). In addition, we are responsible for the Mercedes me companion app, we provide seamless & connected mobility experiences and we contribute to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) platform development. With offices in Berlin and Sofia, we are aiming to bring new generation of innovative infotainment systems across the globe.

Your Mission

Highly skilled and experienced Core System Engineer to join our team in developing an innovative automotive infotainment platform
Deep understanding of complex systems, with a proven track record in designing, analyzing and guiding the development of complex systems
Play a critical role in driving our platform's success by actively steering the main developers and ensuring the highest level of

Responsibilities:

Develop a deep understanding of our overall automotive infotainment platform and its architecture
Design, implement, and analyze complex systems related to the platform
Debug and troubleshoot issues in the platform software and hardware
Collaborate with and guide the development teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient development process
Actively steer the main developers of the platform, providing technical direction and decision-making support
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders
Actively participate in code and design reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines
Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automotive infotainment systems
Work closely with the platform leadership team that will include architects, PMs and fellow system engineers
Conduct system analysis, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to optimize performance and efficiency
Create and maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams and design specifications

Qualifications

Your Profile

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in developing and analyzing complex systems, preferably in the automotive or infotainment industry
Experience with infotainment platforms or HMI development
Hands-on experience with debugging tools and techniques, including hardware debugging (e.g., JTAG, Vector technologies) and software debugging (e.g., gdb, trace analysis)
Proficiency in relevant programming languages, such as C and C++

Nice to have:

Strong knowledge of embedded systems, software development, and hardware-software integration
Strong understanding of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet)
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Deep RTOS, Autosar and Linux knowledge
