About us:

Overhype Studios is an independent game development studio from Hamburg, Germany. We are devoted to making great games that we want to play ourselves.

In 2017, we released the turn-based tactics game ‘Battle Brothers’ for PC, followed by three major expansions. We strive to reflect the creativity, complexity and originality from the old days when game developers were passionate gamers, not corporate businessmen.

Now we’re looking for a Senior Unity Developer to join our small team of passionate experts at our office in Hamburg, Germany, for another project.

Responsibilities:

• Working as an integral part of a small team to create premium PC games using your advanced programming skills

• Creating measurable success while being self-directed and prioritizing your own workload

• Driving the design and iteration of new features and games, making good use of internal and external feedback

• Shipping updates to hundreds of thousands of customers, and developing an understanding of our player community

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in professional programming and software engineering

• At least 2 years of experience working with Unity and C#

• Shipped at least one commercial title developed with Unity

• Highly motivated and self-directed, able to prioritize your workload

• Passionate about games and gaming

• Fluent in English

Nice to Have:

• Advanced knowledge of rendering techniques, shader programing and animations

• Experience working with C/C++

• Cross-platform experience, including Linux, Mac and consoles

• Eager to learn and improve

• Fluent in German
